River Bend Campground isn't a development that happened to land near a river. It's a working piece of Appalachian terrain that we've opened to the right kind of visitor — the kind who arrives in something with off-road tires and leaves with something to remember.

Located just off Coal Heritage Road in Welch, West Virginia, our campground sits on private land along a seasonal creek, bordered by hardwood forest and mountain ridges that have held coal, timber, and generations of families long before we showed up.

We don't offer poolside luxury. We offer dirt roads that reward patient drivers, shaded clearings for tents, level pads for RVs, and a sky full of stars that you won't find anywhere within two hours of a city.
